1<\/strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0 A legal photo ID (driver\u2019s license, passport)<\/p>\n

2<\/strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0 If no photo ID is available, two forms of identification:
\na<\/strong>.<\/strong> non-photo ID\/driver’s license (some states still have them)
\nb<\/strong>.<\/strong> birth certificate (must have the appropriate seal)
\nc<\/strong>.<\/strong> social security card
\nd<\/strong>.<\/strong> library card
\ne<\/strong>.<\/strong> utility bill, bank statement or other business\u00a0correspondence that
\nspecifically names the person; or a postmarked envelope addressed
\nto the person at his or her current mailing address as it appears on
\nthe Form 605.<\/p>\n

3<\/strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0 Students\/minors may bring any of the above items and\/or a school ID,
\nminor’s work permit, report card, or a legal guardian may present a
\nphoto ID.<\/p>\n

4.<\/strong>\u00a0 Social Security Number (SSN) or<\/del> your FCC issued Federal
\nRegistration Number (FRN); VECs are required by the FCC to submit
\neither your SSN or<\/del> your FRN number with your license application
\nform. If you prefer not to give your SSN at the exam session, then<\/del>
\nyou may register your SSN with the FCC before<\/u> exam day.<\/del> Once you
\nhave a FCC\u00a0issued FRN, you may no longer use your SSN on the
\napplication. For instructions on how to register your SSN with the
\nFCC\u00a0and receive a FRN, visit the FCC’s FAQ\u00a0page<\/strong><\/a> and the
\nFCC’s registration instructions page<\/strong>.\u00a0 Please note that some
\nexam teams will only accept a valid FRN on your application.
\nCheck with your local exam team before exam day.<\/p>\n

5<\/strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0 If applicable, bring either a photocopy of your current Amateur Radio
\nlicense or a reference copy printed out from the FCC website, ARRL
\nwebsite or QRZ website, or the original(s) and photocopy(s) of any
\nCertificates of Successful Completion of Examination (CSCE) you may
\nhold from previous exam sessions. If your license has already been
\nissued by FCC, the CSCE showing license credit is not needed. The
\nphotocopy(s) will not be returned.<\/p>\n

6<\/strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0 Two number two pencils with erasers and a pen.<\/p>\n

7<\/strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0 A calculator with the memory erased and formulas cleared is allowed.
\nYou may not bring any written notes or calculations into the exam session.
\nSlide rules and logarithmic tables are acceptable, as long as they’re free
\nof notes and formulas. Cell phone must be silenced or turned off during
\nthe exam session and the phones’ calculator function may not be used.
\nIn addition, iPhones, iPads, Androids, smartphones, Blackberry devices
\nand all similar electronic devices with a calculator capability, may NOT
\nbe used.<\/p>\n

8<\/strong>.\u00a0 Bring a check, a money order or cash to cover the exam session fee(s).
